CFA, Director of AEW Capital Management
Mr. Crooks is a Director of the Firm and an Investment Manager with the AEW Partners Funds, responsible for investment origination and asset management. Since 2000, he has invested over $1.5 billion dollars in the office, senior housing, multi-family residential and mixed-use sectors and he currently manages a portfolio of senior housing investments with a gross value of approximately $400 million. During his tenure at AEW, Mr. Crooks has been involved in acquisitions, dispositions, financing, asset management and portfolio management for a wide variety of commercial real estate product types across North America. He currently serves on the Board of the American Senior Housing Association (ASHA) and is a member of Urban Land Institute (ULI). He is a graduate of Northeastern University (B.S.B.A.) and also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. One of the world’s leading real estate investment advisors, AEW and its affiliates manage $28 billion of capital invested in over $42 billion of property and securities in North America, Europe and Asia (as of March 31, 2010).
