Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer, Life Care Services
Mr. Nelson began his employment with LCS in 1986 at Friendship Village Sunset Hills in St. Louis, Missouri. He has served in several capacities with LCS including executive director of multiple CCRC campuses, regional marketing specialist, vice president of operations management, executive vice president of operations, and currently as executive vice president-chief development officer. As executive vice president-chief development officer, Joel functions as the LCS officer responsible for identifying and evaluating acquisition, merger, and partnership opportunities that will benefit the LCS family of companies.
Mr. Nelson is a member of the board of managers for LCS Companies, a member of the board of directors for LCS Holdings, and a member of the board of directors for Hexagon Insurance Company, Ltd. He has been a presenter at several national conferences. He also serves on the board of directors and is Vice-Chair of ChildServe, a not-for-profit organization that partners with families to help children with special health care needs.
